Wedding On The Cheap - Automatic DJ

Wedding Music on the Cheap

As soon as you make the decision to take the plunge and commit to that one special person your life changes immediately. Almost as soon as the ring is on the finger the thoughts of cost for the big day arrive. If the bride's parents aren't going to be footing the bill for the event, one of the first things that a groom will do is start to look for ways to bring the cost down to something he finds reasonable. It appears that most of the time the bride a groom are not on the same page when it comes to costs. A groom may consider the wedding a party and bride may consider it the day she has always dreamed of set aside for her and it should be perfect, cost be dammed. I know these are stereotypes, but I'm confident that there is a reason for the stereotype, at least in this particular instance (yes I'm well aware that there are exceptions as well to this branding of the thrifty groom and the overindulgent bride). Many times though, they will be further apart on the cost than on the same page. This can make it tough to have a money saving wedding.

There are a lot of places that you can cut expenses without too much of a "discussion" and some that are just not up for discussion at all. It is possible that the music is one of these "not up for discussion" expenses, however if you are willing to be a bit creative you might find that an alternative to having a full band can be a great thing.

I have seen some couples who include a place for their guests to fill in a song choice on their invitations so that they can create a play list for the big day. Then instead of having a band play, they will load all of their choices and the guest's choices into their mp3 player so that not only can your guests feel like they are a part of the wedding, but so that you can also save a little extra cash for other important expenses.
