Some of the things that can make your wedding personal and unique are the little touches you give it. Adding a photograph to your wedding invitation, for instance, can be a personalization that gives a little extra style to the entire event. I was thinking, what if I could add wedding music to that as well?
Photo wedding invitations are becoming more popular as they are becoming easier for people to make at home and as costs start coming down to a level where they are very affordable. We decided to use them for our wedding and were very pleased with the results we received. We made them at home on the computer and they still turned out really, really well - I thought they did anyway. It's always wonderful when you can share, not only the announcement of your event, but a picture of you both with all the family and friends and loved ones who may have not had the chance to meet your significant other-to-be yet (or may not be able to attend the ceremony). For my money photo wedding invitations were the only way to go for the announcement.
We have probably all seen the greeting cards or invitations before that play music when you open them. Why not do that with the announcement for your special day? The first thing that comes to mind for me would be cost, of course. They would still be a good size chunk of dollars more than more traditional styles out there. Plus, there would also be the issue of longevity. How long would the batteries last? How durable would they be? Would you need to have any real concern with the people receiving not being able to get the desired effect? As I concerned myself with these thoughts I decided to look around on the Internet and see if there was a place to purchase them. I mean, if no one was producing them, then it probably isn't worth the time to really consider it as a possibly viable announcement or invitation avenue to pursue. I looked around some and didn't really find any that fit what was in my mind's eye as ideal. There were a number of styles out there, but I didn't see any that played wedding music. So I figured there were probably more issues with this thought process than I had considered. IF no one was making them, then someone with far more resources than I had probably looked into it and decided that it wasn't worth the cost or overhead. Not enough return on investment in high dollar invitations or not enough market desire.
I still thought that it would be cool. How would I do it? Well, they would be nothing like my original view of the musical photo wedding invitations. What we could do though, is try something really non traditional. We could use a different medium. What if, instead of an invitation on paper, we sent it on compact disk? Then we could include music, video, and the announcement. And so people are able to still have the information handy we can add in a paper insert to the CD case that gives the needed information in a wallet size as well. I have to believe that people would find it a lot more fun to watch your invite on their big screen than just the card.

There are so many great music choices out there for weddings. So many great love songs. So much great dance music. Sometimes it's hard to know what you want to choose from the ocean of choices available to swing your hips or shuffle your feet or hold your loved one tight to. Well, never fear - Wedding Music Guide is here to give you some guidance and reassuring comfort in your busy time of need. Now on to the list!
5. When You Say Nothing At All - This Paul Overstreet and Don Schlitz tune - originally a hit for Keith Whitley became a wedding music superstar when Alison Krauss remade the ballad. Who can help but to sing along to her sweet voice melodically breathing those words? It always makes my top list of wedding songs.
4. Unchained Melody - What could be more classic than a tune from The Righteous Brothers? Nothing! This song has been wooing women and putting men on the defensive since it was recorded in 1965. And it is a top choice for wedding music. You will be able to rest knowing that young and old alike will enjoy this soundtrack to your big day.
3. What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong's unforgettable, distinctive, and unique voice sets this song about love and life apart from all others. It just feels like a classic each time you hear him singing those words. It is just such a defining song, that you can't help but stop and focus on the wedding event because it is such a good soundtrack.
2. Because You Loved Me - You ask any woman, anywhere, anytime what their favorite Celine Dion song is, and I'll just about guarantee you this is THE one. Her performance, typically, is unmatched in most projects she attempts, however, no one can really picture in their mind someone other than Celine Dion singing this song. It is her song, and a perfect choice to have at your wedding ceremony. Talk about perfect wedding decorations - this is the perfect wedding decoration for your ears.

This song has been used at every imaginable event and gathering. In fact, one time while coaching at the University of Florida, Steve Spurrier used it to motivate his college football team in a win over the Tennessee Volunteers. It is a great song to listen to, to cry to, and to live by.

Best First Dance Music
What is the best first dance wedding music? What should your choice be for that all important moment where everyone watches you and your new partner for life glide across the floor together in that newlywed embrace? Should it be your song? Regardless of which choice you make, your first dance is moment you will remember for all time. Unforgettable - Nat King Cole has a way of helping us forget anything other than the melodic sounds of whatever it is that he is singing to us with that silky smooth voice that can turn ordinary folks into a rubble of emotions. This is always a great choice when spinning your new partner around the dance floor.
Can't Help Falling In Love - Another great tune by a great artist, by the king, Elvis Presley. Everyone gets that look of love in their eye when that someone their with mouths those words to them "but I can't help, falling in love, with, you". Again, this is a great choice as a first dance song at any wedding, and has the added benefit that more than a few women will be crying along with you.
Everything I Do (I Do For You) - Bryan Adams sings this somewhat sappy, disgustingly sweet love song professing a never ending purpose in life being his love and dedication to the object of his affection. This was such a favorite when it came out that I think the radio stations had it in an every third song rotation. I think a lot of folks got burned out on it, but there isn't a better song to show you are head over heels in love than this one.
I Cross My Heart - I had to throw one in for all you country fans out there. This song from George Strait's lead movie role has gained a cult like following. It may not be THE song that everyone thinks about, but it is the one everyone knows and loves. It is a great choice for a first dance because you are still in the process of making promises like you just finished with a little while earlier, so it is a nice continuation on the theme of the day.
